· Give your Muscles a Burn, Not your Skin
Summer’s Last Blast is full of fun fitness activities for all ages. If you’ve always wanted to try running a marathon, now is a better time than ever. Wake up at 8:00 am, throw your running shoes on and join runners of the community in Parkie’s 5k. If running doesn’t do it for you, give your back muscles a burn canoeing or defy gravity by taking on the climbing wall. The Fitness Center will also be holding classes from sunrise to sunset for all residents to join.
· Family Fun
Bring your family along to enjoy the fun activities scattered across the fest. For just $2, residents of all ages are free to take a dip in Pelican Harbor for open swim. For people ages 16 and up, a car show will be held between 11 am and 5 pm with tickets going for $10 in advance and $15 on the day of. Other than that, there are plenty of other activities for the family to partake in, including a petting zoo, microreality stock car racing, a fishing derby, and live music.
· Send off Summer with a Bang
As in tradition, the fest will close with a fabulous fireworks display to give this summer a loud, proper and epic send off. The show will start at 8:30 pm at Volunteer Park South Stage and carry on until there is nothing left to blow up.
