Your favorite annual 5K race and fun run/walk is back for the fifth year in a row! Join the Lake Barrington Shores Community Homeowners Association and the Village of Lake Barrington as they co-host the 5K race and one mile fun run/walk to benefit the Cuba Township Food Pantry and Cuba Cares on September 19.

The race is from 8:00am-9:30am and starts at the Market Place Shopping Center (Rt. 59 and Kelsey Road). The path winds around Lake Barrington Shore’s community, the lake and through a private forest preserve on a USATF-certified course.

Prizes from area businesses will be given out during a raffle following the race as well as prizes for the  top finishers by age category.

You can pre-register online or by mail or on the day of the event from 7:00am – 7:45am. The registration fee for adults is $20 ($25 on race day) and $10 for children 12 and under. Each participant will receive a race bag, Run the Shores t-shirt and refreshments. Proceeds go to benefit children and families in need, so encourage your friends and family to register, too!
